Turbinate resections, also called a turbinectomy, is a surgical procedure to remove all or portions of the enlarged turbinate's. During the procedure, the doctor performs a partial or complete resection of the inferior turbinate with or without the guidance of an endoscope. This procedure can correct chronic nasal congestion, deviated septa, snoring, and other side effects of sleep apnea.
