A tummy tuck, also known as an abdominoplasty, is a cosmetic procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the abdominal area. Connective tissue in the abdomen (fascia) is tightened with sutures, and the remaining skin is repositioned to improve the shape and appearance of the abdomen. A suction tool is also used to assist with fat removal. A level 2 tummy tuck is minimally-invasive and focuses on bulges in one area: the abdominal area below the belly button.
