Tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, and breast augmentation is a two-part cosmetic surgical procedure. A tummy tuck involves the removal of excess skin and fat from the abdominal area. Connective tissue in the abdomen (fascia) is tightened with sutures, and the remaining skin is repositioned to improve the shape and appearance of the abdomen. During this minimally-invasive procedure, the focus is on bulges in one area: the abdominal area below the belly button. A breast augmentation involves the placement of implants to make the breasts larger. Saline implants are used for this procedure. The empty implants are surgically inserted and then filled with sterilized salt water after surgery.
