A shoulder arthroscopy with distal clavicle excision is a minimally-invasive surgical procedure that involves removing the outer end of the collarbone (clavicle). This procedure may be performed following an injury, as a result of severe arthritis, or nerve compression, or for individuals with a painful acromioclavicular joint (AC joint).
