Repair of the Brostrom Ligament in the Ankle
A repair of the brostrom ligament in the ankle, also called brostrom surgery or lateral ankle ligament reconstruction, is a surgery that involves the tightening of one or several ligaments located on the outer side of the ankle. A secondary repair requires the addition of internal screws to help stabilize the ligament if there is not enough muscle tissue to support it.
