Posterior Cervical Decompression (1 Level) in Wichita, KS
Posterior cervical decompression is a surgical procedure to decompress multiple segments of the cervical spine in patients with multi-level stenosis. The procedure involves the placement of screws in the lateral masses, connected by a rod to afford immediate stability to create a fusion. This approach is often considered for large soft disc herniations that are lateral to (to the side of) the spinal cord.
