MRI Scan with Arthrogram

MRI Scan with Arthrogram in Kansas

$653 - $5,474
?

A MRI scan with arthrogram, is an imaging procedure that uses a strong magnetic field and radio waves to create pictures of a certain body part from several angles. The doctor injects gadolinium-based dye (contrast) directly into the affected joint, guided by fluoroscopy (a low-dose form of X-ray) to ensure the accuracy of the injection, followed by MRI imaging. The contrast enhances the image quality of the tendons, ligaments, and cartilage in the affected area and allows the doctor more accuracy and confidence in the diagnosis. After the completion of the imaging exam, either the body absorbs the contrast material, or it is eliminated through urine.
