A knee arthroscopy with meniscus repair is a minimally-invasive surgical procedure in which a surgeon stitches together torn pieces of either the medial (inner) or lateral (outer) meniscus. Menisci are thick, c-shaped pads of cartilage that help absorb impact in the knee. The procedure is performed to repair torn knee cartilage to improve mobility and stability, relieve pain, and prevent or slow the development of arthritis.
