A CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis without contrast is an imaging procedure that uses electromagnetic waves from a large machine to provide multiple images of the abdominal and pelvic areas. Patients do not receive a dye injection (contrast) during this procedure. These images allow the doctor to find and identify abnormalities within the abdominal and pelvic organs, bones, and blood vessels.
